Rick A. Whitten
- Director of Loss Control Services
Rick has over
20 years of experience in the workers’
compensation insurance and services. Rick
began working for Brentwood Services in 2003
in the position of Loss Control Supervisor
for the North Carolina Automobile Dealership
Self-Insurers Group. In this position, Rick
is responsible for managing and supervising
two loss control consultants, providing
direction and implementation of the loss
control service plan, and delivering loss
control to nearly 200 dealerships. Rick
was instrumental in working with the program
administrator and the Brentwood Services’
underwriting and claims staff to bring about
improvements in the loss control service
plan, distribution of member services, and
enhancing the program’s ability to
systematically lower losses. In April of
2005, Rick was asked Brentwood Services’
loss control unit. Rick’s in-depth
experience provides clients with a strong
understanding of the claims, loss control,
and underwriting disciplines. Combining
this experience with his demonstrated
ability to coordinate projects, communicate
effectively at all levels, and proven
leadership techniques, Rick possesses the
skills that are vital to serving as Director
of Loss Control Services.
Prior to joining Brentwood
Services, Rick has served as Director of
Loss Control and Senior Loss Prevention
Specialist for InServe Corporation, RISCORP,
Sun Employer Services, and Employers Claim
Management. Rick received a B.S. from
Auburn University with a dual major in
Business and Engineering.
